The Gemini - Your Personal Submarine

The Gemini, as described by inventor Robert Leeds is the world's first underwater sports car. But with a top speed of just five knots and its ability to stand still, tilt, rise and fall it is much more like a sub-sea helicopter than a high-performance adrenalin-inducer. "Under the ocean is the last unexplored place on earth and certainly the last place where there are no personal vehicles," Leeds said Thursday as his bright yellow invention went on show at London's Science Museum. The Gemini, is in commercial production - it will take three people in cramped bucket seats to depths of 50 yards for up to three days at a time. But Leeds' Essex-based company Subeo -- which is offering an array of different specifications for uses from research to special forces -- is also getting interest from marine research institutes in France and even the military in Spain. Now here's a really cool toy to own if you have $845,000 to spare.
