The SportDVR-SD CAM is an all in one helmet camera package that gives you everything you'll need for hands free video recording. This package allows you to wear a camera on your hat, glasses or helmet and record to a small digital video recording unit. This package is an all in one system to record your first person perspective of your trip, race, adventure or however you do your thing. The 480EX Helmet Camera gives 480 lines of broadcast quality resolution on a Sony Ex-View CCD chip. This is the same camera that is used on FOX, ESPN, Versus, Monster Jam and other tv productions. What happens when the weather suddenly turns bad, not a problem, the 480EX camera is waterproof up to 10ft. The 480EX helmet camera plugs into the DVR4000SD to record your action. The DVR4000SD uses the latest in MPEG-4 video compression to give near DVD quality video. This unit can record onto a 20GB Hard Drive (standard0 or a SD memory card slot with a high write SD memory stick (not included). A high write speed is important so that the video does not come out looking choppy. If you like to play hard, using the SD slot will work to your advantage as there are no mechanical parts in a SD card so you can get as bumpy as you need to. The DVR4000SD also has a featured wired remote so if you want to stop recording, press a button and the DVR will stop recording. Press a button again to start recording, an LED light indicates which mode you are in.
